Koschei is a role play journal. Muse and mun are both over eighteen.

Koschei is the childhood friend and school mate of the Doctor. His name is established in the novel The Dark Path, which offers one theory of how Koschei becomes the Master, the Doctor's arch nemesis in the television series. Although Koschei is most frequently seen in the television series as the Master, he has been shown in flashbacks.

When he was eight years old, Koschei took part in a Time Lord ritual, where new students of the Prydonian Academy are sent to look into the Untempered Schism. After looking into the schism, Koschei began hearing a constant drumming, a sound he later described as "a call to war." This was shown in a flashback and later Koschei was mentioned in The End of Time, when the Master reminisced with the Doctor, reminding him of the time they spent together on Koschei's father's estates.

During their school years, Koschei was a good student and a close friend to the Doctor. In one novel, the Doctor claims that Koschei was the drummer in a band that included the Doctor and some of their friends.
